On Tuesday, the United Nations Security Council approved the expansion of an unaccounted task in Haiti, which the gangs have carried out to a full military force of up to 5500 employees, adding soldiers alongside police officers. This step replaces the current task of law enforcement only amid the exacerbation of violence and instability in the Caribbean nation.
