The United Nations expert called on dozens of multinational companies to stop doing business with Israel, and warned them that they were risking collusion with war crimes in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

Francesca Albaniz, whose report to the United Nations Human Rights Council described what she described “the economy of genocide” in which he presented the conflict with Hamas, a test land – without any accountability or supervision – on new weapons and technology.

Israel rejected its report as “unfounded”, saying that “he will join Dustbin of History.”

United Nations experts, or private courses, are independent of the United Nations, but they were appointed by them to advise human rights issues.

Mrs. Albaniz is an international lawyer from Italy, and she is known for her frankness; In previous reports, I suggested that Israel is committing the genocide in Gaza.

On Thursday, I repeated this claim, accusing Israel of “committing one of the most genocide in modern history.”

In this report, Mrs. Albaniz calls the companies that they say are benefiting from, and thus corresponding to the war crimes in Gaza.

Its list includes weapons manufacturer Lockheed Martin Arms, Alphabet technology companies, IBM, Microsoft and Amazon to provide technology that allows Israel to track and target Palestinians.

Caterpillar, Hyundai and Volvo, whose report claims that the cars have been supplied to the vehicles used to demolish homes and flattening societies that have been bombed.

Financial institutions are also included – Mrs. Albaniz’s claims BNP BNP Paribas and Barkles were confirming Israeli treasury bonds throughout the conflict.

BBC is close to the above -mentioned companies to comment.

Lockheed Martin said foreign military sales were transactions from the government to the government, and it is better to address discussions by the US government.

Volvo said he did not participate in the criticism of Mrs. Albanez, who believes she is based on “insufficient and incorrect information.” He added that she is committed to respecting human rights and is constantly enhancing due care. But he said that because its products have a long life and often change, “Unfortunately, there is an end to the amount of control or influence that we can have on how to use our products during her life.”

The report says that the named companies, the work is profitable, and helps Israel to continue the war. Mrs. Albaniz says that all companies should stop dealing with Israel immediately.

But how much is this? United Nations reports like this one has no legal power, but it attracts attention.

Mrs. Albaniz, in targeting economic relations, in an attempt to remind multinationals and governments, what happened with the South African apartheid.

For a while, many companies have achieved good money with South Africa, but the injustice of the apartheid attracted global condemnation and United Nations sanctions that were forced to invest, and in the end he helped end the apartheid system.

By inserting companies that are home names, Mrs. Albaniz may also hope to provide millions of consumers around the world with the information they can use when choosing whether something will be purchased or not, as they did with South Africa.

But it is the proposal that colludes with a possible group genocide that may take it seriously. The genocide law is strict, and it must be determined by a legal court, and in fact, the International Court of Justice is currently considering a case against Israel in this particular question, which was presented by South Africa.

Plots are defined as a person or entity who participates in actions whose expected results may have contributed to genocide, but without personally aimed at committing genocide.

This is an accusation that Mrs. Albaniz indicates that she can be directed against companies that sell anything that might contribute to Israel’s war effort. It is known that international lawyers have advised European governments, especially that the continued arms sales to Israel may lead to accusations of collusion.

Israel, which has long accused Mrs. Albanz of being very hostile to her, and even anti -Semitism, rejected her latest report as “unfounded, as well as a luxurious abuse of the office.”

Israel denies genocide, claiming the right to self -defense against Hamas.

But when Mrs. Albaniz presented her report to the United Nations member states, she mainly got praise and support.

African, Asian and Arab countries supported their call for not investing, and many agreed that the genocide has occurred, and some also warned Israel against compensating international lawyers such as Mrs. Albaniz to do their work.

The European countries, more supportive of Israel, also condemned the rejection of aid to Gaza, and said that Israel is being legally responsible, as an occupation authority, to ensure that the Palestinians have a way to survive.

But the largest ally of Israel, the United States, left the United Nations Human Rights Council when President Donald Trump took office in January. Washington’s response to the report simply accused Mrs. Albaniz, whose team contacted American companies to obtain information about their dealings with Israel, about “an unacceptable campaign for political and economic war against the American and global economy.”

The US administration is unlikely to pay much more attention to the words of one international lawyer. But the major American companies that were named in their report, and listening to condemnation from many countries that have financial interests, may begin to question their relations with Israel.
