Transit application Moovit It has partnered with Distribusion Technologies in the travel marketplace to allow users to plan and book Long distance trips around Europe. The app now includes a ticketing system that works in 40 European countries.

The company says travelers can book trains, buses and ferries directly from the app, in addition to getting directions to the station, checking timetables and following trip timings. This should help relieve a lot of the stress of traveling long distances, as all aspects of the trip will be viewable and editable via a single app. Moffitt says this is a “first of its kind for urban mobility platforms.”

It is also the first time Moovit has enabled mobile ticketing for trips between cities across Europe, including cross-border trips. The company has partnered with carriers such as Deutsche Bahn, Trenitalia and National Express to make this happen.

These tools are now available on Android, iOS, and web client. The big warning? It’s only in Europe, for now. The app is available in 3,500 cities in 112 countries. We will let you know when other regions have access to this technology.
