The terrifying scene of the Christmas holiday was a nightmare behind the scenes

Near the end Jeremiah S. Chechick’s 1989 Comedy “National Christmas Vacation”, “ Clark Gracewold (Chie Chess) discovers that the squirrel lives inside the Christmas tree of his family. This looks logical, as Clark had uprooted the tree himself, and stealing it freely from the side of the nearby mountain. In an unforgettable comic scene, Clark stares on his tree branches, just to find the squirrel staring at him. The squirrel jumps from the branches and runs around the house, causing chaos. It is a prominent scene in a movie full of them.

It is also a sad story. It seems that the squirrel on the camera was not a good coach. For some of the most transient shots, the fake squirrel was placed on the chis shoulder, while those close to the squirrel were quickly arrested. The scene was assembled in editing, without the squirrel with a lot of anything active. The reason that the squirrel was not a good coach was that it was an alternative at the last minute. It seems that the original trained squirrel on the role has died a heart attack shortly before the start of filming.
