His father added, “Miguel, amid the pain and dismay that overwhelmed us, was able to unite this country with a single voice that rejects violence.”

It is not known why Senator Urby, who was competing for his party’s nomination. He was well skipped behind other party candidates at the time of the shooting.

The bombs and gun attacks are likely to be caused by an armed group divided from the revolutionary rebels in Colombia (FARC), according to the army and the police.
