The Supreme Court reflects an order, and JSW Steel is allowed to obtain

When reversing its own order, the Supreme Court has surveyed the BHUSHAN Power and Steel Ltd (BPSL) by JSW Steel in a deal worth 20,000 rupees. In the previous matter, the Appucks Court had directed the liquidation of the bankrupt company.

The 19700 rupee decision -making plan submitted by JSW Steel was cleared by a seat led by the Chief of Judges in India Br Gavai on Friday. The replacements said that the company fulfilled all the required parameters as a successful applicant for the decision under the insolvency and bankruptcy law (IBC).

CJI GAVAI noted that closing the consistent views of the NCLT and the National Appeals Court of Appeal Law (NCLAT) – both of whom supported the BHUUUSHAN Steel JSW Solution plan – created serious consequences.

“The opposite of the decisions coincided by NCLT and NClat will lead to a disaster,” he said.

Meanwhile, the JSW Steel shares increased by 1.56 percent in early trade on Friday, to the highest level at all times, reached 1,167 rupees. Later, the arrow gave up its entire gains due to some reservation in profits at higher levels, and the last time was traded by 0.73 percent at 1,140.70 rupees. At this level, it has gained 25.97 percent in 2025 so far.

JSW-Bhushan Battle

BHUSHAN Power & Steel Limited (BPS) was a long legal dispute. The NCLT and the National Law Court of Law Appeal (NCLAT) has approved the JSW Steel acquisition plan for BPSL. However, the department’s seat from the Supreme Court judges refused to acquire earlier, heading that the company would be liquidated instead, noting concerns about the eligibility of the plan.

This ruling issued by the Supreme Court provides a clarification of one of the most important cases under the framework of the insolvency and bankruptcy law (IBC).

In the wake of the recent Supreme Court’s decision, JSW Steel can move forward with its acquisition of 20,000 rupees. The JSW Steel acquisition is expected to enhance its presence in eastern India and increase its total production capacity.
