Research suggests that school -age children in Australia are less, a year after a government ban on the available VAPES appears.

Rest rates fell between 14 to 17 years from 17.5 % at the beginning of 2023 to 14.6 % in April this year, according to the latest update from the country’s study generation to the Cancer Council in Australia.

The survey also found rates for people over 15 years of age reduced by more than a third.

Australian Minister of Health Mark Beler said that the Australian Youth Association rates “have now turned into an angle,” adding that officials have seized more than 10 million illegal VAPes last year.

“Our education and prevention campaigns, in addition to support, to deter people from eating vaping, smoking or quitting it,” he said in a statement.

New laws have now been presented to stop the one -use VAPES of making, importing, advertising and supplying them in Australia in July 2024. VAPES can now be purchased nicotine except with a prescription in pharmacies. However, the black market for the nicotine VAPES is flourishing in the country for years.

The United Kingdom has similarly banned the sale of VAPES available from June this year.

Vapes is safer than regular cigarettes because it does not contain harmful tobacco-but health experts advise that they are not free of risk and that the long-term effects of their use are not yet clear.

The Australian authorities – like those in the United Kingdom – were particularly concerned about VAPES absorption by young people, as Mr. Battler argued that the products were creating a new generation of nicotine addicts.

The latest VAPE scanning generation found that 85.4 % of young people – from a group of about 3000 children between the ages of 14 and 17 – have never been arranged.

Less than a third of these adolescents expressed his interest in switching, which the Cancer Council says is a decrease in curiosity about products.

The researchers said that the attitudes towards comfort among children of school age are also changing, pointing to the interviews conducted in the study, as many current or previous doors said that they feel a feeling of shame or embarrassment about their use.

Although fewer teenagers mention they are able to buy VAPes themselves, tobacco specialists and VAPE shops remain a major source of VAPE sales, despite new laws.

Speaking to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) on Wednesday, Mr. Butler said he was confident that the “peak vaping” behind Australia.

“I know this is a truly difficult battle and we have a lot to do, not only in Vaping, but also illegal tobacco,” he said.

Tobacco use is still a major cause of preventive death – although some of the most powerful anti -smoking laws in the world – and more than 24,000 people kill every year.
