Stefanick, a Republican in New York, was among the most loyal President Trump’s allies and was the second candidate he announced for a confirmed position in the Senate after the 2024 elections. She was elected in Congress in 2014 and rose to the leadership of the Republican Party to be the most powerful republican woman in the House of Representatives.

Stefanick attended the White House cabinet meeting late last month.
