Canon announced EOS C50The smallest cinematic camera so far with features designed to attract creators on both social media and filmmakers. It has a RF sensor without a mirror and a completely full frame sensor that supports up to 7K 60p for internal raw registration and 32 megapixels, which makes it a camera that works for everyone.
Despite the small size and a weight of 1.5 pounds, the EOS C50 is rich in features. The full-frame CMOS sensor has a dual ISO system that works in the Canon Log 2 (C-Log 2) in ISO 800 and 6400 for better low light performance. It is also allowed to record up to 12 bits of cinematic light in the cinema at a speed of up to 7K 60p and RAW HQ at 7K 30p, as well as XF -AVC S and XF -HEV C high mild. The C50 is also the first cinema camera with the company with an open 3: 2 gateway to convert without a loss to other formats – finally matching a feature in Panasonic’s Lirrorless cameras.
Canon extended that ability with something he calls crop recording simultaneously. When filming 4K, you can take out a video of 2K social media at the same time at 9:17, 9:16 or 1: 1. It will be useful for YouTube creators who also use Instagram or Tiktok to promote videos.
Since it is part of the Canon’s Cinema collection, C50 offers Pro features like two full-sized XLR audio inputs (via optional higher handle), zoom rock, wave/peak screens, C-Log3 support and allocated starting button. It also comes with the excellent pixel concentration system in Canon and tracks the topic of artificial intelligence that detects the eyes, face, head, body, or animals. Other main features include SD-RHS II, CFEXPress and Time Code. However, C50 lacks stability in the body, instead depends on the visual lens and electronic installation.
C50 may be the best hybrid cinema camera in Canon so far, with 32MB of images and bombing up to 40 frames per second. Canon also introduced the new Hybrid RF 85M F/1.4 L vcm designed to shoot a video and photos. Finally, for compact camera fans, Canon released an updated version of Elpha 360 HS 2016, Elpha 360 HS A, with MicroSD instead instead of the original SD slot.
The Canon EOS C50 will charge at the end of Q4 2025 for $ 3,899 and the new VCM RF85M F/1.4 L lens will reach $ 1,649. Powershot Elph 360 HS A Hits Stores in October 2025 for $ 380.
