The city police chief said that two young children were killed and 17 people were injured after one of the gunmen opened fire in a church and a Catholic school in Minneapolis on Wednesday.
Fourteen of the injured are children, two of whom were in critical condition.
Ohara said that the children who died were eight and 10 years.
