The shooting attack at the Jerusalem Bus Station kills 6 people

Palestinian attackers opened fire on people at a bus station during the morning peak hour in Jerusalem on Monday, killing six people and wounding 12 others, according to Israeli officials.

Police said that an Israeli soldier and a civilian were at the scene of the accident and killed the attackers. The windshield of the bus was full of bullet holes and the property was spread across the street.

The attack footage showed dozens of people fleeing a bus station at the crowded intersection at the northern entrance to Jerusalem, on a road leading to Jewish settlements located in East Jerusalem. The paramedics who responded to the scene said that the area was chaotic and covered with broken glass, as people were lying on the road and the sidewalk near the bus station.

The ambulance service in Israel has identified five victims as a 50 -year -old man, a woman in the fifties and three men in the thirties.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon later said that a sixth person had died and that the militants were Palestinians from the West Bank occupied by an Israeli.

Netanyahu visits the scene

Hundreds of security forces have arrived at the scene to search for additional attackers or explosives that could be grown throughout the area. The Israeli army said that it was destroying the Palestinian villages on the outskirts of the city of Ramallah in the nearby West Bank, wearing the defense in response to the attack.

In a statement, Hamas called “a natural response to the occupation crimes against our people.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the theater of the attack and was seen on a video speaking to the first respondents.

He warned that Israel “is fighting a war on multiple fronts”, including Gaza, the West Bank and Israel. Netanyahu also praised the soldier who killed the attacker, who was recently formed by the super -Orthodox soldiers.

A war of nearly two years in Gaza has sparked a breakthrough of violence in both the Israeli West Bank and Israel.

Data from the United Nations Humanitarian Office says that at least 49 Israelis were killed by the Palestinians in Israel or the West Bank between the beginning of the war and July 2025. At that time, at least 968 Palestinians in Israel and the West Bank were killed.

While there have been attacks scattered over the past months in Israel, the last deadly attack attack was in October 2024, when two Palestinians from the West Bank opened fire on a main street and a light railway station in the Tel Aviv area, killing seven people and leaving wounds. The military wing of Hamas claimed responsibility for this attack.
