Kristin Davis She apologized to Bridget Moynahan for her “mean girl” behavior when they co-starred in the original Sex and the City series.
Davis, 60, played Charlotte York, one of the show’s four main characters alongside Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), and Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) throughout the run of the original series ranging from 1998 to 2004. Mr. Big (Chris Knott) appeared in the show’s second and third seasons from 1999 to 2001.
On Monday, Moynahan appeared on Davis’ “Are You Charlotte?” A podcast in which they discuss their time on “Sex and the City.” While reminding him about Moynahan’s first episode, Davis admitted that she gave the other actress the cold shoulder on set.

“Normally what I would do to guest star people — who were usually men — I would go up and try to be proactively friendly because it’s a scary situation,” Davis said.

However, Davis explained that because she “took over Charlotte’s worldview” towards her best friend’s love rival Carrie, it affected how she acted towards Moynahan off-camera.
“Because you were such an enemy, I don’t think I was nice to you,” Davis told Moynahan. “I feel really bad about that, Bridget.”
Moynahan quickly reassured Davis that she did not hold her previous behavior against her.
“Oh, it’s okay now,” “Blue Bloods” He said with a laugh.
“But I feel bad because we were all young, you know what I mean? And I was new, and I feel bad,” Davis said.
“Don’t worry!” Minahan assured her.

Moynahan recalled that at the time, she was puzzled when Davis would be friendly with her during their off-camera encounters after they had stopped working together.
“We ran into each other in the gym all the time,” Moynahan said, adding that she remembers wondering why Davis was “so nice to her.”
“By then, we weren’t in our characters anymore, and I could be a normal person,” Davis said. But I always felt guilty about it because I didn’t really realize how much I had internalized Charlotte’s worldview. You know what I’m saying? Like, I was more tolerant of things.”
“And I was less forgiving if I was someone who I felt was threatening my friend,” she continued. “It’s so ridiculous, and I feel bad.”

Moynahan first appeared as Natasha in the show’s second season when she was introduced as Mr. Big’s new fiancée. At the time, Carrie, who had recently broken up with Big and was still in love with him, was so shocked and hurt that he had moved on so quickly. By the beginning of season three, Natasha and Paige are married. However, Paige and Carrie later rekindle their relationship despite his marriage. Natasha discovers this affair and she and the Big Divorce soon after.

In 2021, Moynahan reprized her role as Natasha in ‘Sex and the City’ Revival series “And just like that…” After Paige’s death, Carrie discovers that he left Natasha a million dollars and seeks her out to understand why. The two have a conversation after running into each other and they both find closure.
During her podcast appearance, Moynahan recalled that they “reunited like this” when she returned to the show as a guest star.

“Getting the same characters, but then growing within the characters, even though we’re still rooting for Carrie and her crazy ideas in that episode,” Davis said. “But that’s what I love too. Like Carrie is a flawed character, because we’re all flawed.”
Moynahan also reflected on how she sometimes felt catfished by fans because Natasha’s role made her the obstacle between Carrie and Big.

“Because they all love adults and Carrie together, and somehow I was in the way,” Moynahan said. “I’ve said out loud at times, ‘No, she was having an affair with my husband.’ Let’s break this down. “
