The Senate failed to reopen the government after the fifth budget vote

The Senate failed on Monday for the fifth time to pass the spending measures to reopen the government.

The competing proposals were dropped by Democrats and Republicans, and they failed to meet the minimum of the 60 votes required.

President Donald Trump said earlier in the day that the other failed vote would lead to the demobilization of collective workers. Thousands of federal employees were subjected to or ordered to work without pay when the financing of their agencies ended five days ago.

But he hinted that he was open to an attempt to end the impasse and may force a deal with Democrats who commit to demands to address health care. Republicans presses a “clean” financing bill.

Democrats-led the draft law to extend government funding first on Monday failed to vote 45-50. The Republican cleaned it and then decreased in 52-42.

Republicans have repeatedly accused the Democrats of closing the government to provide health care to illegal immigrants – something that Democratic leaders deny. They also said that they will work on the issue of health care in separate legislation, after the reopening of the government.

Speaking at the Oval Office on Monday, Trump said he is currently negotiating with the democratic leadership on possible health care provisions.

“We now have continuous negotiations with Democrats who can lead to very good things. I am talking about good things regarding healthcare,” he said.

But Chuck Schumer, the leader of the Democrats in the Senate, posted a clip of Trump’s statements on X with a statement “This is not true.”

The White House has warned since the closure began last Wednesday that permanent shooting of federal employees “imminent”.

The secretary, Caroline Levitte, chanted on Monday, saying that the management and budget office is already working with agencies that will have to place people.

“We don’t want to see relaxed people. But unfortunately, if this closure continues, the demobilization of the workers will be an unfortunate result of that,” she said.

On Monday, Levitt called on Democratic legislators to decline.

“There is nothing to negotiate,” she said.

In separate interviews with NBC’s Meet the Press on Sunday, both the Senior Democrats in the House of Representatives, Hakeem Jeffries, and the President of the Republicans, Mike Johnson, each blamed the other party against the continuing.

Jeffrez accused the Republicans of “lying” about the intentions of the Democrats in the negotiations “because they are losing the public opinion court.”

But Johnson said that the Democrats are “not serious” and negotiate bad faith.

“They are doing this to obtain political coverage,” he said.
