Sam Greenwood was linked to Leeds United during the summer transfer window.
The midfielder does not seem to have a future in ELLAND ROAD and has been linked to multiple clubs. The newly promoted Premier League team has not ended after its status.
Players such as Joe Gilahardt, Charlie Crow and Matteo Joseph left on loan for experience in the first team, but Greenwood is training alone. With only one year staying in his contract, Leeds may be preferred to sell it permanently rather than risking it for free next summer.
Greenwood is a talented player with a bright future, but he needs regular football for development. Leeds cannot give him this opportunity, making separation useful to both parties.
The player is not currently part of the preparations for the IIIS before the season, according to Instagram (H/T. Leeds everywhere). Many clubs are believed to watch him, and it will be interesting to know if the offers arrive in the coming days. Greenwood will be keen to quickly solve his future and focus on football again.
There is no doubt that he has a lot of football that he left in, and can shine in the right club. Leeds will not be able to give him the opportunities he needs, and this is the time for him to restore his career with a new start.
Meanwhile, Leeds got the promotion of the Premier League, and they need better quality players. For them it will be to get rid of their Fringe players quickly and bring the assets that they can help them do a good job in the forefront.
