The Palestine Red Crescent Society shared pictures that show severe damage to its headquarters

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) accused the Israeli forces of attacking its headquarters in Gaza, killing one worker and wounding three others.

The humanitarian organization said the attack “set fire to the building” in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Describing the attack overnight on the facility in the southern city of Khan Yunis as “deliberate”, the Red Crescent said that the location of the headquarters is “well -known” for the Israeli army and is clearly distinguished with the protective red logo.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it “has no knowledge of any artillery or any air strikes” when the BBC was asked about.

A video clip shared by the Red Crescent on social media showed parts of the building on the fire and full of smoke withdrawal, while pictures of antiquities showed great damage to the building and many large blood stains.

In a statement, the Relief Agency appointed the dead worker in the name of Omar Elim and said it was “sad” because of his death. She said that two other workers were injured, as well as a civilian who was trying to put out the fire.

“This was not a mistake,” added the Red Crescent. “We renew our call for accountability and protect all humanitarian employees and medicine.”

This incident comes with the growth of the humanitarian situation in Gaza. The latest figures from the United Nations indicate that at least 1,373 Palestinians have been killed in food since late May.

It was the majority Killed by the Israeli army, the Israeli Humanitarian Corporation, supported by the United States (GHF)The United Nations says. GHF denies the United Nations figure, which amounted to at least 859, was killed in the vicinity of its positions.

Israel has accused Hamas of inciting chaos near the aid centers and says its forces do not openly open to civilians.

Meanwhile, the Egyptian government media reported that a truck containing fuel, which affects the need, is pending the entry of Gaza.

The paramedics have warned against the shortage of vital medical facilities for weeks, after Israel began a siege for months of all aid and goods in Gaza.

This has been partially raised, but humanitarian agencies have said that more assistance should be allowed to enter Gaza to prevent the aggravation of famine and malnutrition.

Hamas -running Ministry of Health said that 175 people, including 93 children, died due to malnutrition.

Israel denies that it prevents deliberate aid that flows into Gaza and accuses the United Nations and other relief agencies of failing to deliver it.

The Israeli Defense Army launched a campaign in Gaza in response to the Hamas -led attack on southern Israel on October 7, 2023, where about 1,200 people were killed and 251 others were taken into account.

Since then, more than 60,000 people have been killed in Gaza, according to the Ministry of Health.
