The Public Broadcasting Company (CBP) has announced that it will stop the operations after Congress withdrew its financing towards President Donald Trump.

In a press release on Friday, CPB said it would begin “a process of decline in its operations after a federal rescue package passed” last month.

“For nearly 60 years, CPB has carried out its mission in Congress to build and preserve the reliable public media system, know, teach and serve societies throughout the country,” CPB said in its statement. “Through partnerships with local stations and producers, CPB has supported educational content, locally related journalism, emergency communications, cultural programming, and basic services of Americans in every society.

“We are now facing the difficult reality of closing our operations,” said CPB president and CEO Patricia Harrison.

CPB employees have been informed that most of their positions will be concluded at the end of the fiscal year at the end of September.

This is a developing story …
