The last update on wholesale price enlargement was chaotic amid effects on trade, but the main producers’ price index was cooled in line with expectations in April.
The main product price index decreased to an annual rate by 2.4 %, which was in line with the consensus between the economists, according to FactSet.
The producers’ price index decreased by a monthly rate by 0.5 % in April, while the March number was revised from a 0.4 % decrease to no change. Economists included in the poll by FactSet expected a monthly decrease by 0.4 % in March followed by a monthly increase of 0.2 % in April.
