Nielsen is scheduled to meet Denmark’s King Frederick X on Monday before returning to Greenland with Friedrich on a royal visit to the island.
Friedrixen and Nielsen were asked whether a meeting was planned with them and Trump.
Trump is still optimistic about the risk of Greenland: “I think it’s happening.”

“We always want to meet the American president,” said Friedrixen. “Of course we want it. But I think we were very clear while the (Danish Commonwealth) approach to all parts of the Kingdom of Denmark.”
