Russell Martin admitted his team’s 6-0 weapon at the hands of Bruges in the second league match in the Champions League, which was “humiliating”, as the pressure on the Rangers coach is escalating.

The Scottish club, which started Max Arons within 10 minutes in Bruges, started 9-1 in the total goals of Joaquin Seys (2), Nikulo Tircholdi, Hans Vincc, Alexander Stancovic, and Crystos Zolis, which was a little miserable for Martin and his team.

Rangers is now without a victory in three games in all competitions, as Martin’s future in the club was increasingly looking into danger before Sunday Derby against Celtic, who suffered an insult in Europe this week after it was eliminated by Kazakhstan Club Karaat on sanctions.

“I am very painful,” Martin said after the match. “I don’t really say what I am saying unlike apologizing to supporters of what happened tonight.

“The basics just hurt us. A lot of pain that has been in particular, last week and today, this can be avoided.

“We have to make sure that we are responding correctly on Sunday (against Celtic).”

The Rangers coach also revealed that “a lot” has been said by the players in the dressing room full time and insisted that the team needs some “real leadership”.

Martin added: “There was a lot in the dressing room between the players,” Martin added.

“The level of assistance they provide to each other is not enough. Many players spoke and they said to each other.

“We will need some real leadership now, and some real teamwork to make sure we can perform a performance that makes everyone feel a great improvement.
