Spoilers of “Poker Face”.
“Poker Face” for season 2 (Read our review here), I could not be happier. Ryan Johnson’s small broadcasting series is the so -called “Howcatchem” instead of “Whodunit”: While there is a murder in the middle of each episode, this is not a murder crime PuzzlesAt least not for the public. Biper page from “Columbo” play bookEvery episode tells us who is the killer in advance. From there, it is due to the main Sleute in the show, Charlie Cale, to break the case. Unlike Colombo, Charlie, as Natasha Leon played, is not a professional investigator. However, she has the strange ability to know when someone lies; It is basically a human lies detector. Because of this gift, Charlie is always able to know when the murderer sets the truth, and usually takes it upon it to save today and arrest the villain – a decision that often calms down in hot water.

There is an incredibly comfortable thing about “Poker Face”, which is strange given that each episode begins to kill a person violently. In fact, there is some depression for the exhibition: the murderers are often famous, or opportunists who are killed for money, self -preservation, motivated by jealousy and/or though. However … “the face of the poker” is warm and mysterious (funny). Part of this is related to the magic of exhaustion in the show: Johnson and his team are trying to summon good mysterious TV programs such as “Columbo” and “The Rockford Files”. As a result, “Poker Face” feels nostalgia and fresh at the same time.
You are a fan of “Poker Face” season 1 (Here is my evaluation for this season) But I think I love season 2 more. For one reason, although the first season was strong, there are two or two episodes (I look at you, “the time of the monkey”) did not fell with me completely. With the second season, all the episodes (or at least all the episodes I have seen; you got 10 of a total of 12) are success. Moreover, Season 2 also fixes one of the biggest problems I faced with the first season: it quickly concludes a line that no longer needs the offer simply.

The first season of the Booker Charlie Harb was
Because Charlie is not a TRUE The detective, the “face of the poker” needed to find a way to explain the reason for its stumbling in various cases of murder. Get that. However, the idea that was cooking did not do much for me.

In the first show episode, we learned that Charlie Cocktail is working in a Casino run by Crooked Steling Frost Jr. , Which is played by Adrien Brody. Frost is responsible for the killing of a Charlie colleague at work, and Charlie finally replaces the crime-a procedure that causes the suicide of Frost instead of suffering from the consequences.
Unfortunately, the frost coincides with the son of a strong gangsman, played by Ron Perman. Father Frost divides the revenge of Charlie to lead his son to suicide, who sends Charlie to flee. The largest part of the first season has moved from Charlie from one town to another from death. Ultimately, the first season arrived to wrap this story … just to re -display it again. While Charlie is able to get out of the situation with Father Frost, she finds herself targeting death so far once again By completely different gangs, the biarix Hasp, which Raya Perlman plays. Again, Charlie Harb.

The poker season will finally give Charlie to break a break
Once again: I get the reason for “Poker Face” introducing the idea of ”Charlie” to run “as a way to transfer it from one city to another so that you can stumble in strange jobs that include various crimes. But I was not particularly interested in this running (intended from the pun? Those trying to kill her, “Poker Face” retreated.

Fortunately, it seems that the book “Poker Face” has realized that they simply did not need Charlie’s story constantly. The third episode of Season 2, entitled “What-A-Mole”, concludes the briefing of things. First, Beatrix Hasp finally holds with Charlie and calls for a human lies detector to help find a mouse (or maybe he mall?) Inside its institution. It turns out that Snitch is the HASP husband, played by Richard Kane. Unfortunately, the killing ends due to the actions of the corrupt FBI, John Mawlani.
Ultimately, though, things are resolved, and a few shapes of Charlie Pal, FBI’s Undersecretary Luka Clark (Simon Hilberg), HASP agrees to raise the contract in Charlie’s life. It is no longer officially fleeing, “Poker Face” onwards, and the results are speaking about itself. Charlie still finds itself stumbles in the secrets of killing, but at least you do not have to worry about contracting contracts on its tail anymore, and the exhibition is better because of this decision.
