The US Federal Aviation Administration said that a passenger plane and a military helicopter collided near the National Reagan Airport outside Washington late on Wednesday.

The regional flight, run by the company Psa Airlines for American airlines, had originated in Whitchita, Kansas. The CRJ700 and Sikorsky Sikorsky H-60 ​​Black Hawk collided with the plane approaching the airport at approximately 9 pm.

“The multi -agent search and rescue process is being implemented in the Botomac River after the crash,” said Washington’s Capital Department in Washington.

US Airways confirmed that the American eagle flight was involved and said it would “provide information when it is available.”
