The outrageous ’80s gender-swapped comedy is a disturbing midnight masterpiece

Teenage witch It’s one of those movies that’s so lively and light, you can’t help but love it, no matter how disturbingly objective it is. It was originally introduced as a gender-swapped version of Teen Wolf (Yes, they tried that in 1989 too), and the film ended up being an independent film with a questionable legacy.

The film was not raunchy enough to compete with teen sex comedies of the time, so the original script was watered down to receive a PG-13 rating and reach a wider audience. In this sense, he was successful because Teenage witch It has mass appeal. It’s just the kind of movie best roasted with friends while going through each musical score and a misguided attempt at humor.
