What if I told you that there was a healthy dinner you could make any night of the week in about 12 minutes with no prep or planning required and very little mess to clean up? It’s real, and it’s my new go-to meal on busy nights when I don’t want to blow my budget or healthy eating habits. All it takes is a small, reliable device that we call… Air fryer.
If you’re tired of people telling you to eat more fish, this is your ticket to a year full of omega-3 fatty acids and free of miserable pots and pans to wash afterwards. Salmon cooked in the air fryer gets a nice fryer-like crust but stays moist and tender on the inside as long as you don’t overcook it.
All you need is fresh filet mignon and seasoning to make the perfect salmon dinner in the air fryer.
The air fryer gets a lot of credit for its work chicken wings and French friesbut often appears to have been made in a laboratory to cook fatty salmon fillets. The mighty air fryer only takes a minute or two to preheat, so if you’re whipping up a quick weekend meal for one or two people, making salmon in the air fryer is great.

The air fryer is my favorite choice for roasted chicken, replacing a slow and dirty oven recipe with heavy dishes. I recently learned how to make delicious cheeseburgers and bacon in less than 10 minutes and without dirtying a pan or frying pan.
Air fryers are incredibly convenient and can perform many of the same functions that an oven does. They only take a few minutes to preheat, have a lot of cooking messes that you may have to spend time cleaning up, and are generally more energy efficient cooking appliances.
When you plan to cook meals using an air fryer, you need to make sure that you have enough space inside your appliance for the food you want to cook. Many air fryers can accommodate a single person’s meal size, but you will likely have to run the air fryer several times to make enough food for your entire family.
