The Nigerian Senator ruled the government to prosecute the assassination claims

The Nigerian government pressed charges against a Senator who accused a major politician in the country of planning to kill it.

In April, Natasha Akboti-Odwagan claimed that Godswell Akbabio, Speaker of the Senate, and Yahya Billo, a former state ruler, wanted to “eliminate it.” Both denied the accusation.

Weeks ago, Akpoti -uduaghan accused the Senate Speaker of her sexual harassment – a claim that he also denied.

The government has now provided charges to the Supreme Court, saying that the Akpoti-duuaghan assassination claims Akpabio and Bello.

In the drawing paper, which the BBC watched, the Nigerian Prosecutor referred to an interview showed by Nigerian broadcaster TV last month.

In the interview, Akpoti-duaghan talked about “Akpabio discussions with Yahya Bello … to eliminate me.”

The prosecutor said that this statement, and other radio on the same broadcast, could harm the reputation of Belo and Akbabo.

Akpoti-duuaghan did not publicly respond to the charges against it.

In March, after Akabio was accused of sexual harassment, Akpoti-duuaghan was suspended from the Senate for six months without pay.

The Senate Ethics Committee said that the comment was a “wild and destroyed” behavior during a discussion in the Senate, but its supporters argued that it was the result of its allegations against Akabio.
