The Nigerian army says more than 30 jihadists in air strikes

He said in a statement that the Nigerian army killed 35 jihadists in a series of air strikes near its northeastern borders with Cameroon.

The army added that the strikes were carried out in four areas to thwart an attempt by the jihadists to attack the ground forces.

Nigeria was fighting jihadi groups for more than a decade, as well as violent criminal gangs, sectarian conflict and kidnapping on a ransom.

On Saturday, a group of prominent Nigerians, including former government ministers, businessmen and civil society activists, issued a statement, which caused anxiety that parts of Nigeria were carrying “war levels in wartime”, while the country was officially in peace.

The group cited a report issued in May by the Acts Rights Group, which said that at least 10,217 people have been killed since President Paula Tenobo took office two years ago.

He called for the formation of a presidential workplace with large-scale powers to end the many conflicts-including the emission of the armed Islamic group Boko Haram and the separate West Africa province in the northeast.

Last week, the army reported that nearly 600 militants were killed in eight months in the area. There is no independent confirmation to demand.

The Nigerian Air Force said it would continue to provide air cover for the land forces that dismantle the jihadist bases in the northeast.

More than 35,000 people and two million people were killed in the conflict, according to the United Nations.

The Institute of Security Studies said to think that at least 15 jihadist attacks have been recorded so far this year in areas near the Nigeria border with Cameroon and Niger.

He added that the jihadists were using modified commercial drones to give the two printers to the army’s bases, and they were difficult for the army to send reinforcements.

Earlier this month, the US State Department agreed to sell weapons worth $ 346 million (256 million pounds) for Nigeria.
