The authorities say that the man who fled with his three children amid a custody dispute was killed after the police were shot.

The authorities said that a father from New Zealand fled with his three children after a conflict with his former partner about four years ago, killed by the police.

Police said on Monday that Tom Philips, who was fleeing in a New Zealand wilderness with his children since December 2021, had died after the police faced him after a robbery in the rural town of Boubio.

“In the aftermath of the accident, we were in contact with the Philips family and we will work to provide them with all available support,” said Rogers.

In a statement of New Zealand Radio, the mother of the children, Kat, said she was “very comfortable” for her children.

She said: “I have missed them dearly every day for nearly four years, and we are looking forward to welcoming them at home with love and care.”

Philips disappeared from the far -long community of Marokop with its three children – between the ages of 12 and 10 and nine – acquired New Zealand and generated international addresses.
