At any time Director Edgar Wright You release a new movie, it’s an event. Throw in Glen Powell playing Arnold Schwarzenegger in a high octane vehicle Stephen King adaptation, Well, all bets are off. This is what the Empire Theater honored in New York Comic Con This weekend as Wright, Powell and co-star Lee Pace showed up to talk about it all Running man And launching a brand new trailer too – which has debuted online now that the trick is over.
It was directed by Wright, from a screenplay by Wright and Michael Bacall (the same duo who wrote the film). Scott Pilgrim vs. the world), Running man It will be in theaters on November 14. Most fans know the title because of Schwarzenegger’s 1987 film, but that was based on the sprawling 1982 novel written under King’s pseudonym Richard Bachman. This version is closer to the novel, as the titular game show is not limited to a single arena but takes place across the world. You see a lot of that in the new trailer, which you can watch below.
The best parts of this trailer, besides this already existing movie coming out in a month, are the Edgar Wright action touches. We’ve seen lots and lots of action movies, but you can tell when Wright is behind the camera. The way they move, the way they’re cut together – everything has this kinetic feeling, which you can bet will permeate the entire movie.
It also helps that, in addition to Powell and Pace, Wright has assembled an impressive group to bring on board Running man To life. He has William H. Macy, Emilia Jones, Michael Cera, Daniel Ezra, Jaime Lawson, Colman Domingo, and Josh Brolin. Not too shabby.
Running man It’ll be in theaters soon, on November 14, and we’ll have more in the coming weeks. Are you as excited about this as we are?
