Andromeda is 2.5 million light -years away by the Milky Way, and it is a spiral galaxy very similar to scientists by better understanding our Hungarian house. A new vehicle image reveals our closest galaxy neighbor in five different wavelengths of light, combined together to create a stunning detailed vision for Andromeda.

Telescopes take pictures with different wavelengths by monitoring a specific part of the electromagnetic spectrum, from low -frequency radio waves to very high -frequency gamma rays. Using different wavelengths, astronomers can see more universe, whether glowing in dust, stars or infected galaxies.

For the latest image of Andromeda, also known as the M31, astronomers have made X -ray data from the NASA Observatory, revealing high -energy radiation around the super black hole in the middle of the galaxy.

X-ray data, which was taken by XMM -NeUUTON, appears from the European Space Agency, in red, green and blue. UNASA retired Ltraviolet data from NASA in blue. Infrared data from NASA retired SpitZer Space, and infrared astronomy satellites, Cobe, Planck, and Horschel in red, orange and purple; And radio data from Synthesis Westerboork in red orange, according to Nassa. AAttractive photographers Jacob Scinner and Tarun Kotary provided some visual data using earthly telescopes.

Andromeda is a classic spiral, with graceful arms revolving around a central swelling. It extends over 220,000 light years, twice the size of the Milky Way. The two galaxies are in an unfortunate collision cycle with each other and are expected to merge in about 4.5 billion years. or Maybe notAnd research was suggested earlier this month.

Astronomers have also converted multiple wavelength data into sound, creating a beautiful melody of Andromeda dust paths and stars groups. To create the new Andromeda song, scientists separated the layers captured by each telescope and stole it on top of each other horizontally, starting from X -rays at the top, then they move through ultraviolet, visual, infrared and radio at the bottom.

Each type of light is set on a different set of notes, from low -energy radio waves along the road through the high energy of X -rays. The brightness of each source controls the size of the Hungarian song, and the vertical location dictates the stadium.

The latest complex image of Andromeda was issued in honor of the legendary astronomer Vera Robin, who discovered evidence of the dark matter by measuring the speed of the stars in the spiral galaxy. In the sixties of the last century, Robin Andromeda noticed carefully and decided that the invisible material was affecting how the spiral galaxy arms were rotated. Earlier this week, the Vera C Robin Observatory, who was named after the leading astronomer, was She released her first photos of the universe.
