The National Guard forces are stationed outside the Chicago and can be in Memphis by Friday, as the Trump administration goes forward with an aggressive policy towards crime in major cities, whether or not the local leaders support it.

The members of the National Guard from Texas settled at the army reserve center in Illinois by early on Wednesday, despite the lawsuit and the strong opposition from the elected democratic leaders. Their mission was not precisely clear, although the Trump administration had an aggressive migration in the third largest city in the country, and the demonstrators often gathered in a migration building outside Chicago in Broodvio.

President Chicago described it as a “hole of hell” for the crime, although the police statistics show a significant decrease in most crimes – including murders.

In Memphis, Tennessee, Police Chief Sierralin Davis said that a small group of leaders already in the city and planned the arrival of the guard forces.

Republican ruler Bell Lee said that the forces will be delegated by the American Marshal service to “play a decisive support role” for local law enforcement, although this role has not been accurately determined yet.

A suspended lawsuit

President Donald Trump’s attempt to deploy the army on American territory amid local opposition to a struggle with the rulers of the blue states. The states of Illinois and Chicago urge a federal judge to stop the Trump war, which he has long announced on the state. It is scheduled to be held in the court on Thursday. In the state of Oregon, a judge was prevented during the weekend. The goalkeeper was deployed in Portland.

Illinois Governor JP Britzker expected that the National Guard forces would be activated from the state, along with 400 Texas. Trump was accused of using the forces as “political pillars” and “Paadne”, and said he had not received a warning from Washington about its publication.

The Associated Press watched military personnel wearing uniforms with the National Guard patch in Texas at the US Army Reserve Center in Eloud, about 89 km southwest of Chicago. Trucks with a disaster emergency services brand dropped toilets and other supplies. The trailers were placed in rows. An additional fence has been published across the ocean.

The Bossi Commatos Law, which was issued nearly 150 years ago, is limiting the army’s role in implementing local laws. However, Trump said he will be ready to activate the rebellion law, which allows the president to send military forces to states that cannot put out the rebellion or that challenge federal law.

The Federal Aviation Administration ordered the imposition of restrictions on flying over the army’s reserve center for security reasons until December 6.

Immigration campaign is underway

The armed border guards’ agents near the famous landmarks exacerbated the fears after the campaign to suppress the immigration that started last month. The agents have targeted the areas with highly populated and brutal density.

The mayor of Chicago Brandon Johnson signed an executive order on Monday to prevent federal immigration agents and other use of city owned by the city as the starting areas of enforcement.

Since the start of his second term, Trump has sent or talked about sending forces to 10 cities, including Baltimore; Columbia County; New Orleans. Auckland, San Francisco and Los Angeles in California.

Most violent crimes have decreased throughout the United States in recent years. Police data showed that Chicago’s murders decreased by 31 percent to 278 crimes until August. The murders in Portland decreased from January to June, by 51 percent to 17 this year compared to the same period in 2024.

In Portland, months of night protests lasted at an American immigration and customs administration facility (ICE) on Tuesday evening. In June, the police announced riots, and smaller clashes have occurred since then.

The appeal is coming in the state of Oregon

The Court of Appeal has set a date for pleadings on Thursday in the government’s attempt to deploy the Guard in Portland.

On Tuesday, the rural state of Oregon, Tina Cotik, said that she had informed the Minister of Internal Security Christie Naim that there is “no rebellion” in the state.

Bob Day, Portland police chief, said on Tuesday that the administration needs to work more closely with federal customers as it seems to have placed more officers at the ICE facility.

Naim told Fox News on Tuesday that she had told Portland’s mayor Keith Wilson that if the city does not enhance the security of the Immigration and Customs Department, and get support from local law enforcement authorities, and take other safety measures, we will send four times the number of federal officers here.

A federal judge said in September that the administration violated the federal law “intentionally” by deploying the Guard forces in Los Angeles due to protests against the migration raids.
