With the government focusing on creating job opportunities and operating the workforce in the country, the Ministry of Labor and Employment is now working on a national employment policy with the aim of creating an environmental system for work that guarantees protection, productivity and participation for each worker.

The general goals will be comprehensive and mobile social security, occupational safety and health, skills and employment links, ease of compliance and formalization, technology and green transformations and empowering women and youth.

For this purpose, the Ministry of Labor issued a draft national policy for work and employment in India called Sharm Shakti Niti 2025. The draft policy indicates that “the labor market in India is witnessing structural transformations driven by digitization, green transformations, and new employment forms such as working in temporary jobs.”

Sharm Shakti 2025 plan will respond to these changes through a unified framework that integrates social protection, skills, professional safety, and technology -based governance. It also restores the Ministry of Labor as an easy -to -employ entity, which allows the rapprochement between workers, employers and training institutions through reliable systems that depend on artificial intelligence.

The National Vocational Service platform (NCS) will act as a public employment infrastructure in India, allowing functionality in a transparent and comprehensive manner, verification of accreditation papers, and skills.

“Policy also focuses strongly on comprehensive social security, occupational safety and health, empowering women and youth, and creating green job opportunities based on technology,” said an official statement. By integrating major national databases such as EPFO, ESIC, E-SHRAM and NCS in the unified Labour Stack, the policy imagines a comprehensive and comprehensive environmental environmental system that supports lifelong learning, social protection and income security.

The Ministry is now seeking to obtain comments on the draft policy from stakeholders and experts by October 27.

The Politics Project also aims to create an implementation structure of three levels, including the National Council for the implementation of a work and employment policy, which will be the Supreme Joint Commission between the ministries headed by the Minister of Labor and Employment at the center, government labor missions to ensure implementation and contextual coordination, and work resources centers in the provinces.
