A large number of American companies have declined Diversity, fairness and inclusion (Dei) Initiatives over the past year amid pressure from activists and concerns about legal risks, but many of them stand despite the decline.
All important brands such as Walmart, McDonald’s, Amazon, Ford, and Lowe began to back down from DeI initiatives in response to a cultural transformation that included a reverse reaction to customers, pressure from conservative groups, activists, and potential legal repercussions.
President Trump has made promises during the campaign to expand the scope of Federal Dei programs. In his first week in office, Trump signed an executive order to end Dei’s offices and initiatives through the federal workforce.

Trump even criticized Dei’s initiatives in the Federal Aviation Administration during a news conference related to the deadly collision in the air between the US Airways passenger plane and the Black Hawk helicopter in the US Army over the Botomac River near the Rigan National Airport in Armington, Virginia.
All 64 passengers were killed on the plane and the three crew members aboard the helicopter.
With the investigation of such an early stage, the information available at this time does not refer to the Dei initiatives in FAA that played any role in the accident. However, the president did not prevent the signing of a memorandum to end the practices of diversity, fairness and integration (DEI) in the aviation sector.
What caused rebellion against De in America?
