The Iviatar David family condemns the Hamas video of the Israeli comic hostage

The Israeli hostage family, Eviatar David, held by Hamas in Gaza, accused the group that deliberately starved it as part of a “propaganda campaign”.

“He is starving to serve Hamas’s propaganda.” Said the family said on Saturday.

David, 24, has been in captivity since he was shouted by Hamas at a music festival in southern Israel on October 7, 2023.

“We are forced to witness our beloved son and brother, Eviatar David, who are deliberate and irony in the Hamas tunnels in Gaza – a living skeleton, buried alive,” the family statement added.

The hostage family also urged the Israeli government and the global community to do “everything possible to save Evyatar.”

In the video released by Hamas, Iviatar David heard, “I did not eat for several days … I hardly had drinking water.” She was seen digging what he says would be his grave.

During its attack on Israel nearly two years ago, Hamas seized 251 hostages. David is one of 49 hostages that Israel says is still being held in Gaza. This includes 27 hostages who are believed to be dead.

Israel accused relief agencies of pushing Gaza towards starvation through food weapons in its war against Hamas – a claim that he denies.
