The International Committee for the Disabled has raised the partial pendants of Russia and Belarus.
The General Assembly of International Communications in Seoul voted South Korea on Saturday for the first time against a full comment by Russia by 111 to 55, with abstinence 11, then voted against a partial comment by 91-77 (with eight abstinence).
It also voted against a full comment of Belarus by 119 to 48, with nine disappearances, and against a partial comment by 103-63 (10 refraining from work).
Decisions arouse the possibility of engaging with every government commission for every sport before the Milan-Carkina Olympics in Italy from 6 to 15 March next year.
“This decision means NPC Bearus and NPC Russia now restores their full rights and IPC membership privileges, according to the IPC constitution. IPC will work with the two members concerned to make practical arrangements for this as soon as possible,” IPC said.
Russia and Belarus’s jewelry were banned from international sporting events after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
In a statement posted on its website, the press service of the Russian Paralympic Committee said that the organization welcomed what he called the “fair decision” from IPC to restore “the entire Russian Paralympic Committee.
“This is an important contribution to the development of the international movement of the disabled and an example that the rights of athletes must be protected without discrimination on the basis of nationality and political affiliation,” the statement said.
There was no immediate reaction from the Ukrainian committees of the disabled or Olympic, but the broadcaster broadcaster said, “In Ukraine, it is legally prohibited to delegate the national teams to the competitions in which the aggressor countries are represented without monitoring the principles of neutrality, according to the state symbols.”
The Russian Olympic Committee has been suspended since 2023 by the International Olympic Committee for breaking the Olympic Charter using the administrative seizure of lands to integrate regional sports bodies in the occupied eastern Ukraine.
The Russians will be allowed to compete in the Milan-Carkina winter games next year in northern Italy from 6 to 22 February. IOC confirmed last week that it would follow the system he used in Paris games last year, allowing the Russians to compete as individual neutral athletes – using the French abbreviation.
