Immigration agents, the supervisor of the largest school area in the US state of Iowa, were arrested, accusing him of bypassing the visa of his student.

The supervisor of De Mune Public Schools, Ian André Roberts, was arrested on Friday by the enforcement of immigration and customs (ICE) based on a fleeing order. He also faces the crime of firearms.

Officials say that he is a citizen of Guena, and that his permission to work in the United States ended in 2020. Officials of the educational zone say they have not been informed of the conditions of his arrest, and they called him an integral part of the school community.

It comes amid a broader campaign for the United States on immigration, as President Donald Trump is seeking to deport all illegal immigrants.

It is not clear whether Mr. Roberts has rented a lawyer to speak on his behalf.

Records indicate that he is imprisoned at the Immigration Detention Center near De Moin.

ICE said in a statement that he had “in possession of a massacre, $ 3,000 in cash and a fixed code knife.”

The agency said that he initially fled the police in a vehicle that was presented to him by the educational area. The officers later found his deserted car and put him with the help of the Iowa state.

Mr. Roberts has a charge of current weapons as of February 2020 and the United States originally entered a student visa in 1999, according to ICE. A federal judge ordered him to deport him in 2024.

Ace said that the investigation of the pistol found by the officers was being delivered to the alcohol, tobacco, firearms and explosives office, noting that it was illegal to immigrants who were not documented in the United States to have firearms.

Before the leadership of an area about 30,000 students in Iowa, it was previously working as a teacher in four other states, and he obtained university degrees and credit from universities including George Town and Harvard.

He also participated in the Guyana in the track and the field in the Sidney 2000 Olympic Games, and participated in the World Championship in Japan and Spain, according to NBC News.

“He was born to Guyana immigrant parents, and spent most of his training years in Brooklyn, New York,” says a biography on the educational area website. He adds that he “enjoys hunting.”

The head of the school’s board of directors, Jackie Norris, told a press conference on Friday that the board of directors is still trying to determine the facts of his case.

“We do not have all the facts. There is a lot that we don’t know,” she said. De Moin Register newspaper.

“However, what we know is that Dr. Roberts was an integral part of our school community since joining two years ago.”

Local Ice Director Sam Olson said in a statement that the arrest “must be an invitation to wake up our societies for the great work that our officers do every day to remove public safety threats.”

He added: “How is this illegal alien without permission from work, a final arrangement for removal, and the charge of previous weapons goes beyond understanding, and the fathers of that educational area should be removed.”
