The Houthi rebels undertake to “meet the escalation with the escalation” after fatal American air strikes in Yemen

The United States and the Iranian -backed Houthi rebels in Yemen pledge to escalate after the United States fired air strikes to deter the rebels from attacking military and commercial ships on one of the world’s most freight corridors.

The United States, Israel and Britain had previously struck the Houthi -controlled areas in Yemen, but the new operation was only conducted by the United States, it was the first blow to the Houthis under Trump’s second administration.
