There were more protests in Madagascar on Monday, even when President Andre Rajina tried to suppress popular anger by launching the government. There were days of turmoil throughout the country because of its dilapidated infrastructure. On Monday, the United Nations estimated that at least 22 people passed away in a campaign in marches led by youth, which erupted for the first time last Thursday. The United Nations Human Rights President said he was shocked by the extent of security officers. However, some deaths were attributed to looting and violence by gangs that benefit from disorders.
