The GST Group for Aug 6.5 % on an annual basis rises to 1.86 rupees of Cham Roba

The GST Tax Group (GST) was recorded for August by 6.5 percent of the same period in the previous year at 1.86 rupees of Cham. According to government data, CGST reached 34,076 rupees, while SGS reached 42,854 rupees, and Igst reached 97,186 rupees. CESS reached 12199 crores in August.

However, the commodity and services tax group for the previous month was higher than it was in August at 1.96 rupees of Cham, according to government data. The group reached its highest mark in April at 2.37 Rs.

The total local revenue increased by 9.6 percent to 1.37 rupees in August. However, taxes collected from imports decreased by 1.2 percent to 4,9354 rupees during the same period.

GST recovers witnessed a 20 percent decrease on an annual basis, 19359 crores. Nevertheless, GST revenues reached 1.67 rupees in August 2025, which represents 10.7 percent growth compared to the previous year.

The group comes two days before the commodity and services tax council meeting that will trade in rationalizing prices and reducing the number of tax panels. According to the sources, the inverted duty structure remains a challenge, especially as prices can be reduced to 5 percent or exempt, while taxes on most input services continue by 18 percent.
