The grandfather accidentally takes a wrong child to the home from the Sydney Day Care Center

An investigation was launched after the mistake was taken by the wrong child from a daytime care center in Sydney, Australia.

The man arrived to collect his grandson from the first steps at the Learning Academy in the southern suburb of Bangur, on Monday afternoon.

But he accidentally took a different child to the house, who was sleeping in a dark room.

The error was not only clear when the child’s mother arrived at the center to find that her age was not there, the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper reported.

“I cannot explain the feeling,” she told the newspaper.

“They were unable to tell me in his name (the man), and they were unable to tell him who he was, and they were unable to tell me who was supposed to pick up him.

As part of safety protocols, childcare centers do not allow children to be collected by anyone else except parents, recognized guardians, or care providers

But she also said that the grandfather is not responsible.

“We are not angry at him. We are not upset with him – we blame day care.”

The grandfather’s wife told the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper that her husband is “devastating” and that he “has the mistake.”

“When he realized, he regained this child very quickly,” she said.

The first steps were told BBC that the teacher participating in the accident had stopped.

“We are sincerely apologized to the families participating directly in this annoying and isolated incident,” said the nursery director, Treesha Hilli.

She added that this has not happened before in any of the first nursery, and it has strengthened the procedures “to ensure that this does not happen again.”

A regulatory agency in New South Wales said that the investigation is underway in the interesting and serious incident.

The accident comes at a time of increased awareness surrounding safety in children’s care centers in Australia, and last month, new legislative changes aimed at improving safety standards in the sector were announced.
