The demonstrators clashed with the riot police in the capital of Serbia, Belgrade, and other cities, on the fifth consecutive night of demonstrations against the government of right -wing President Alexander Fotic.

The clashes also broke out in Belgrade late on Saturday after the police arrested the demonstrators heading to the headquarters of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) ruling.

Late Saturday, thousands gathered in the Central Valvo city to show their growing anger against the government, while a small group of persuasive youth attacked the empty offices of the ruling SNS party, making them fire.

Then they clashed with the riot police, where the demonstrators threw fireworks and rocks while the officers responded with thunderbolt bombs and tear gas.

Some clashes were also reported in the northern city of Novi Sari, the second largest country.

The daily protests have almost captured Serbia since November, after the roof of the railway station that killed 16 people collapsed.

The tragedy has become a symbol of deep corruption in the Balkans, with demands to make a transparent investigation that grows calls for early elections.

At its peak, the protests attracted hundreds of thousands to the streets.

However, the peaceful demonstrations often deteriorated earlier this week when large groups of supporters of the government-many convincing people attacked some of them armed with Hopon and firearms-demonstrators.

This led to violent clashes for several nights, leaving many of the injured on both sides.

The protests were increased after that after many joint videos online showed that the police struck unarmed demonstrators.

Police denied brutal allegations, accusing the demonstrators of attacking the officers.

While the protests have so far led to the resignation of the Prime Minister and the collapse of the government, President Vcic has been challenging.

He has repeatedly rejected calls for early elections and stressed the demonstrations as part of a foreign plot to topple him.
