The Minister of Trade and Trade Paych Guyal said during an interaction with Indian companies in Bern on June 9, that the Indian government is working on a plan to help small, small and medium enterprises (MSMES) registration of their products in international markets.
Joyl said the plan would cover the full cost of registration for new products in new markets, especially for exporters for the first time. “Any bandage of MSME guarantees needs to spend money to register their products anywhere in the world – especially for new products and new markets – the government will finance the full cost,” he said.
The initiative is expected to be part of the export promotion mission (EPM) announced in the Federation’s budget, which will include about ten components aimed at enhancing India’s exports. This includes easier credit for MSMES projects, support for e -commerce exports, warehouses abroad, and brand initiatives.
EPM will work on two main ages: support trade financing and access to markets.
Joyal highlighted that the Organization of the ISCA contributes more than 40 % of India’s total exports, which rose to 825 billion dollars in 2024-25, up from $ 778 billion in the previous year. He called on the Indian industry to focus on value -added exports and brands. He said: “Can we run joint campaigns to market Indian rice worldwide? We need to add value and build global brands.”
He also announced the second phase of the Mandabam Conference Center in New Delhi, where several square feet were added to expand the exhibition area.
In trade agreements, Joyal noted that India had signed free trade agreements with the UAE, Australia, the United Kingdom and Efta, and it is negotiating with the European Union, Oman and New Zealand. Talks are also taking place to revive commercial discussions with Brazil under the Mercosur bloc. “We are now participating with advanced economies to ensure better results,” he said.
