Oliver Glasner, Crystal Palace manager, says he is “positive” that the club will win its legal battle to cancel a decrease from the European League to the European Conference League.
The European Football Association imposed the punishment after the ruling palace violated the multiple ownership regulations.
The ruling body referred to American investor John Tintoor, who carries shares in southern London clothes while also working as a majority of French club Lyon – another team that is scheduled to appear in the European League this season.
Palace submitted their appeal to the CAS Arbitration Court (CAS) in July, UEFA, LYON and Nottingham Forest in their challenge.
Forest, who finished last season in the Premier League, will get the European League site in a palace if the decision is supported.
The CAS hearing started on Friday, with a ruling expected on Monday.
“I am always positive,” Glasner said: In his talk to the correspondents before the shield of society on Sunday with Liverpool: “I am always positive.
“I can’t see anything why our rank should be reduced and why we should stay in the conference league.
“I know how the club works and it is just the president and the people who work here daily make decisions.”
Why was the classification of the palace reduced?
UEFA rules prohibit clubs under great control over the same individual or entity from appearing in the same competition.
Palace failed to meet a deadline on March 1, 2025 to provide evidence of the restructuring that would address these concerns.
The club maintains that Textor does not represent a decisive effect, but UEFA rejected this defense.
Last week, the Chairman of the Board of Directors told Steve Parish that the rest was football podcast that he was “very optimistic” with a successful call.
In their presentation, Palace asked that the European Union Financial Supervision Authority be canceled and revived in the European League at the expense of Forest or Leon.
Currently, Palace is preparing for a tie in the European League later this month against Friedrichtad from Norway or the Danish side Midtjylland.
The European League group stage begins on September 24.
