The mourners in Gaza put five of the island’s employees who were killed in an Israeli air strike on a media tent outside the Shiva Hospital.

Hundreds of Palestinians in Gaza City attended the funeral of five Al -Jazira employees who were killed in an Israeli air strike outside the Shiva Hospital.

On Monday, large crowds joined the funeral procession, where the bodies of journalists from the Shiva Hospital carried to Sheikh Radwan’s cemetery in central Gaza.

The Al -Jazeera media network condemned the “targeted assassination” by the Israeli forces, accusing an army that intentionally struck the position of the journalists. Al -Jazeera said that the Sharif was “one of the brave owners in Gaza,” adding that the attack was “a desperate attempt to silence the votes in anticipation of the Gaza profession.”

The CPJ Protection Committee (CPJ) said it is “horrific” due to the killings. “The style of Israel is describing journalists as fighters without providing reliable evidence raises serious questions about its intention and respect for the freedom of the press,” Sarah Sada, the regional director of CPJ. “Those responsible for the killings should bear this responsibility.”

The RSF Media Monitoring Authority also condemned what he described as “the killing recognized by the Israeli army” of Sherif, describing it as “one of the most famous journalists from the Gaza Strip (and) the sound of suffering that Israel imposed on the Palestinians in Gaza.” The group said that the attack reflected the killing of 2023 by Ismail Al -Jazeera, which Israel described as a “terrorist”.

“Without a strong procedure from the international community … we will likely witness more murders outside the judiciary than the media professionals,” RSF warned, and the UN Security Council urged the intervention.

The assassination of Sharif comes more than a year after Israel bombed his family’s home in the refugee camp, killing his 65 -year -old father.

The killing of Palestinian journalists comes days after the security cabinet in Israel agreed to a plan to occupy the Gaza Strip. The operation aims to seize Gaza City and survey nearly a million Palestinian people.

The Palestinians indicated that Gaza – the home of 2.3 million people – is still under Israeli occupation. Nothing can enter or outside without Israeli permission. The total Israeli blockade has caused the hunger crisis since March 2, killing more than 200 people, including 100 children, in the past few weeks.
