The 74 -year -old children and the former surgeon who raped dozens of children over a period of more than two decades have been given a 20 -year prison sentence on Wednesday by a French court.
Joël Le Scouarnec was convicted of rape and sexual assault on 299 children.
The judges followed the recommendations of the Public Prosecutor regarding the length of the ruling, and the Criminal Court of Murpian ordered that Lexukk serve at least two thirds of the sentence before he is eligible to release him.
Le Scouarnec is already serving a 15 -year prison sentence for being convicted in 2020 for rape and sexual assault on four children, including two daughters.

“This experience, which could have been an open -air laboratory to expose the dangerous failures of our institutions, leave no sign of the government, the medical community or society as a whole,” said a group of victims in a statement.

Not all victims were initially aware that they were abused. Some were contacted by the investigators after their names appeared in the magazines that they kept, as he trusted his crimes.
Others only realized that they were taken to the hospital at the time after checking the medical records. Two of his victims took their lives years before the trial.

While he apologized to some of the victims, his behavior struck a lot of separation and emotional.
