The Football Association in England banned the transgender players from women’s football teams

The National Football Association of England announced on Thursday that the transgender women will not be able to play in its women’s football teams since the beginning of June. The advertisement is a change in the rules of the African Union in response to another UK Supreme Court ruling On the definition of a “woman” under the British Equality Law.

The Football Association, only last month, amended its rules to apply more striking civil standards for women to play on women’s football teams, but allow them to play.

“This is a complex topic, and our position has always been that if there is a material change in law, science, or policy operation in popular football, we will review and change it if necessary,” the union said. “The Supreme Court ruling on April 16 means that we will change our policy. The transgender women will not be able to play in women’s football in England, and this policy will be implemented as of June 1, 2025.”

The Football Football is running football championships throughout the country with different levels, many of which are not professional and hold matches at the weekend. In April, the FA said that among the millions of amateurs registered in the association, there were approximately 20 transgender players, according to CBS News BBC News.

“We understand that this will be difficult for people who simply want to play the game they love in the sex in which they determine, and we are communicating with sexually transgender women who are currently playing to explain the changes and how they can continue to participate in the game.”
