The Finnish politician dies in Parliament in Helsinki

A politician in Finland died in the country’s main parliament building in the capital, Helsinki.

Local media reported that Emily Biltonn, 30, who was the deputy of the Social Democratic Party, believed that he took his private life in the building and was found on Tuesday morning.

His sudden death was shocked by Finland, as politicians from all parties expressed their grief.

Biltonin’s death was confirmed about three hours later in a short parliamentary statement, which said that society participated in “the sadness of its relatives.”

Biltonn, who represented the southern region of Osima, was in his first term as a member of Parliament, after his election in 2023.

His political ambitions began early – Biltonn was elected as a consultant in the city in the town of Jarvenpaa at only 18 years old.

When he was 22 years old, he was elected head of the City Council – the youngest of the title, The media mentioned at that time.

In late June, Biltonn posted his novels on social media that he was “far from a lot of parliamentary work in the past weeks” because he had a “kidney problem” that led to an infection.

In this position, he made it clear that he was treated with “intravenous antibiotic treatment in Melaahti (one of the suburbs of Helsinki), which takes its time.”

“I have already been discharged from the hospital, but because of the situation I am on a satisfactory leave in the summer and I am now completely focusing on recovery from the disease,” he wrote.
