Britain, France and Germany must hold talks with the Iranian Foreign Minister on Friday, in a recent attempt to avoid escalation of conflict in the Middle East and a possible American intervention.

The talks come in Geneva, which is scheduled to be attended by foreign ministers in the three European countries, in light of the warnings from US President Donald Trump that he could join Israel’s attack against Iran.

“It is better to deal with negotiations through conflict … the risk of escalation throughout the region is clear,” said Sir Kerr Starmer Prime Minister in the Kingdom.

He added that the United Kingdom is “recognized” against Israel to self -defense, “but the principle is that we need to remove this.”

European capitals are developing emergency plans for the United States that enter the conflict, with tensions raised since Trump publicly admitted on Thursday that he was “May” to enter the war.

The UK government confirmed that David Lami, UK Foreign Minister, will attend talks in Geneva, after talks with Marco Rubio, his American counterpart in Washington on Thursday.

The meeting in Geneva with Iran, Abbas Aragici, is a revival of the coordination of “E3”, according to which Britain, France and Germany-European signature signed a nuclear agreement in 2015 signed with global powers-to resolving the country with the West.

The aim of the meeting will be to agree on a framework for re -monitoring the Iranian nuclear program, but with international observers giving unrestricted access to facilities. Another issue on the table is whether Iran will be ready to adhere to cutting the stock of ballistic missiles.

A crisis erupted about the Iranian nuclear program after Trump withdrew from one side of the agreement in 2018. Tehran was reported by expanding his nuclear activity and was enriching uranium to levels close to the degree of weapons.

The Trump administration held five rounds of indirect talks with Iran before the diplomatic operation by Israel, which launched its strikes on Friday – days before the sixth round of negotiations.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu – who opposed diplomatic efforts – said he launched the war to prevent Iran for nuclear weapons.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has confirmed that Aragchi will meet their counterparts from Britain, France and Germany, the first high -level diplomatic face to face with Tehran since Israel has launched its attacks on Iran.

“We have expressed our willingness to participate in the negotiations aimed at securing from Iran for a permanent decline in its nuclear program and the ballistic missile program,” French Foreign Minister Jean -Noel Barrot told reporters on Thursday.

He said: “The negotiations today are still the only way to achieve a permanent decline in the Iranian nuclear and ballistic missile program … and for this reason we call for a return to negotiations.”

The E3, which participated in the efforts made by the Biden administration to revive the 2015 agreement, was largely marginalized by Trump, as he sought to pressure Iran in a new deal.
