The effects of cannabis in Haribo Cola Candy in the Netherlands

Haribo recalls desserts in the Netherlands after some of them were found on hemp traces.

Dutch food and consumer products safety agency has warned any potential customers of 1 kg (2.2 pounds) bags of Happy Sins F! ZZ is not to eat sweets because it may cause dizziness.

“The hemp was found in the cola bottles concerned,” Saida Ahyad, Agency spokeswoman, told AFP.

The agency also said that the case relates only to three bags so far, but all shares have been called as a preventive measure, adding that they are working with authorities to investigate the cause of pollution.

Local Dutch media I mentioned that a family in the thirty became “very sick” after eating candy and informed the accident to the police. After conducting a criminal investigation, the police discovered the effects of hashish and alerted the Food Safety Agency, according to media reports.
