This post contains Spoilers For “Alien: Earth” Episode 5.
It was a few good years of science fiction for the big budget on TV. Between shows such as “AndOr”, “Foundation”, “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” and “Severance”, this type has flourished, although many of this series are now ending, or recently ended. Fx’s “Alien: Earth” (Read our review here) He hopes to continue in the direction, and so far, it is a strong competitor to enter the same pantion in the twenties of the twentieth century. And talking about “Severance”, there are few common ratios with the Apple TV+ show that you may have missed in the first episode, and now again in episode 5, “in space, no one …”
Of course, I am talking about Karen Al-Dridge, who plays the role of a science officer in Wieland Utani Chipuzo on Maginot-ship carrying prejudices from the dangerous foreigners who return to the ground to search and develop vital weapons. Episode 1 shows the ship that loses control after the laboratory breach and crashes in a city controlled by Weyland-Yattani Competition, Prodigy. In Episode 5, we return in time to see a series of exact events that led to the outbreak of the disease, with a lot of materials specifically on Chibuzo and their experiences on different strange types.
If it looks familiar, you might have seen “Severance” earlier this year. Aldridge appears in a larger role in this show as ASAL Reghabi, the doctor who goes from the rogue from Lumon Industries and helps in the end Mark Scout (Adam Scott) The best understanding and controlling the mysterious separation procedure. We will leave things in that in order to evade spoilers “Severance”, but it is interesting to see aldridge plays another science in science fiction at “Alien: Earth”. Unfortunately, the fate of Chibuzo is a little more severe than the fate of Regabi, but their conditions as the hazages of the excessive evil companies are remarkably similar.
Chapter and Foreign: The Earth actually has a lot of common denominators
“Alien: Earth” and “Severance” is concerned with the same basic ideas: companies control a world where everything-including awareness has been privatized, and the risks of allowing systems that depend on profit by assuming your own memories. “Severance” has been set in an alternative version of this dayAnd put it early on a schedule of the future universe of “Alien: Earth”, but it deals with the same problems, just developing at an early stage. Democracy, although it is still technically intact, quickly allows the authority to have an unreasonable companies.
In “Severance,” Mark lives in Lumon Company Housing, and nearly half of his life has occurred on the company to do it as it is satisfied, without allowing him even with the knowledge of what “Innie” at work. It is not completely different from the Maginot crew, who sacrifice 65 years but only live through a few of them thanks to Cryo-Stasis, all on a quarterly share in the company, all to be sent again when they return.
The company’s blueticism in Cyberpunk, whether it is in an increasingly alternative or future, is dark. Perhaps this is the reason why the offers like this hesitated strongly at this particular moment.
