The weakest dollar is the three -year low -level after a report that Donald Trump was considering nominating the next Federal Reserve Speaker.
The US dollar decreased by 0.3 percent against a basket of major trading partners on Thursday morning in Asia, reaching another level reached in early 2022.
The move came after the Wall Street Journal report that the US president was considering announcing his choice of Federal Reserve Speaker Jay Powell earlier than expected.
“The US dollar was weakening against the background of uncertainty in the policy of customs tariffs and Trump. This seems to be an extension of it.”
“The possibility of an early nomination led to the belief that the Federal Reserve could turn into a previous reduction (interest rate).”
The revenue on the sensitive US cabinet has decreased for two years, 0.02 percent, to 3.76 percent.
