The defendants target companies with contact with fake techcrunch

Hi, thank you, as always, to read Techcrunch. We want to talk to you quickly about an important thing.

We have discovered that the fraudsters impersonate the character of Techcrunch, leading events and communicating with companies, and pretending to be our employees when they are not at all. These bad actors use our name and reputation in an attempt to deceive reassuring companies. It drives us madness and angry us on behalf of you.

As for what to do about it, if someone communicates with the claim that it is from Techcrunch and you have even the slightest doubt if it is legitimate, please not only take their word. We have made it easy for you to check.

Start by checking Employees page. It is the fastest way to see if the person who is connected to you is actually working here. If the individual’s name is not on our list, you have got your answer there.

If you see a person’s name on our employee page, but describing our employee jobs does not retreat with the request you receive (i.e., the Techcrunch Editor suddenly tries to get to know your work!), A bad actor who tries to deceive you.
